Dgh water
Degrees of general hardness (dGH or °GH) is a unit of water hardness, specifically of general hardness. General hardness is a measure of the concentration of divalent metal ions such as calcium (Ca ) and magnesium (Mg ) per volume of water. Specifically, 1 dGH is defined as 10 milligrams (mg) of calcium oxide (CaO) per litre of water. Since CaO has a molar mass of 56.08 g/mol, 1 dGH is equivalent to 0.17832 mmol per litre of elemental calcium and/or magnesium ions. WebModerately hard water has a dGH value somewhere around 3.38–6.74. Regular hard water sits at roughly 6.75–10.11 dGH, while very hard water measures more or is equal to …

Just so you know, you can convert ppm to/from dGH with the number 17.9, multiply dGH by 17.9 to get the equivalent ppm, or divide ppm by 17.9 to get the equivalent dGH. So 50 ppm is about 2.7, or almost 3 dGH. This is very soft water; I'll come back to this. WebOne dGH is equal to 17.9 GH, 17.9 mg/L or 17.9 ppm.
